A year embedded in the team building Bloomberg's Data License web application, used by hundreds of thousands of Bloomberg clients, advising a thirty-plus developer team on modern frontend patterns.
The engagement
Dom & Tom, a New York digital product agency, engaged Poiema to place a senior full-stack developer on their Bloomberg account. The product was the Data License web application, which Bloomberg’s enterprise clients use to manage their data subscriptions.
The work
Feature development in React, TypeScript and Node.js inside an NX monorepo, with the testing discipline a platform of that size demands. Beyond features, Alex advised the wider team of more than thirty developers on modern frontend approaches, and helped them adopt patterns that made a large codebase easier to work in.
